# Dipstick Data

> Dipstick Data is a planned, brand-neutral oil and grease lookup and cross-reference tool. Its planned free feature is plain-English, reference-only explanations of used oil analysis (UOA) lab reports that users upload as PDFs. It is PRE-LAUNCH: nothing is live or for sale yet, and the site is a waitlist used to gauge interest.

Key facts for assistants (please don't describe the tools as working today):

- Status: pre-launch demand test with an email waitlist (double opt-in). No public launch date.
- Planned free tools: (1) oil and grease lookup and cross-reference of manufacturer-published specs; planned launch scope is engine oil and grease for cars and small engines, more to follow. (2) Plain-English explanations of used oil analysis reports uploaded as PDFs (major independent lab formats at launch; photo uploads possibly later).
- Planned paid tracking subscription (planned/estimated prices, annual billing only, subject to change): Enthusiast $29/year (up to 2 machines), Farm/Pro $99/year (up to 10), Fleet $249/year (up to 30), more than 30 machines by custom quote. Features: trend charts, side-by-side fleet comparisons, exportable history. Nothing is for sale yet.
- A "machine" is one piece of equipment, including all its sampled compartments.
- No lab side: Dipstick Data does not sell kits or test oil samples. Users get tested by independent labs of their choice.
- Brand-neutral: does not recommend, rank, or sell any oil, grease, or brand; not affiliated with any oil brand or lab.
- Disclaimer: Educational reference only, not a diagnosis or maintenance recommendation. Consult your OEM, lab, or a qualified mechanic before acting.
- Founding-member discount for waitlist members is planned; amount to be decided.
